Build Your Shed

Whether you're going Owner Builder, have engaged your own Builder, or want our in-house construction team to build it for you - we've got three solutions to turn your design into a reality.

Our Build Options

1. Built by You (Kit Only)

Our Kits offer you ultimate flexibility to construct yourself as an Owner Builder or to engage a Registered Builder to undertake construction.

LIVING and WORK & PLAY ranges are available as Kit Supply and come with detailed working drawings and assembly instructions to ensure Clients are confident in taking on the build process.

Shed House Australia is developing a national network of builder partners outside our own build zone and we will work with you to put you in touch with a registered builder in your region.

2. 'Built by Shed' (Lock Up)

For builds within a two-hour radius of Melbourne, our in-house construction team, lead by Construction Director Matt Menichelli, can undertake construction to Lock Up for you.

3. 'Built by Shed' (Turn Key)

Our in house design & construction team is currently working on a full scope, end to end range of homes including interior design, servicing and internal fit-out. This offering will be available early to mid 2024.

Structural frame components
Corrugated Colorbond external cladding
Flashings, fixing, brackets, fasteners, downpipes & gutters
Mezzanine structure (if applicable to the design)
Garage door (if applicable to the design)

Structural engineering design package including framing, slab design and certification
Installation Package including Interactive 3D Model & Assembly Guide

Options & Upgrades:

Front and/or rear extended eaves
External cladding options beyond Colorbond claddings
Feature window & front door shrouds
Supply of windows & doors (base or upgrade options)
Upgrade garage door options (if applicable)

Exclusions

Internal non-load bearing walls
Internal floor, wall & ceiling linings
Staircase (if applicable)
Internal joinery, appliances, fixtures or fittings

'Built by Shed' (Lock Up)

Built by Shed ‘From Prices’ for construction to Lock-Up include:

Slab construction based on a standard M class site classification (incl. termite protection)
Kit supply (refer Kit Supply inclusions)
Kit erection (incl. framing, roof & wall cladding)
Single glazed window & glass door installation.
Timber entry door supply and installation.
Electrical: Slab conduit cast in for mains conduit provision to specified switchboard location within the building footprint with a tail terminating outside the line of the slab. Electrical wiring, installation of switchboard and connection to mains by others.
Sewer: Slab conduit cast-in(s) in accordance with specified locations and below ground sewer conduit installed within the building envelope to gully trap and inspection point outside of the slab capped off for connection to mains by others.
Water: Slab conduit cast-in(s) in accordance with specified locations within the building footprint with a tail terminating outside the line of the slab. Below ground water conduit installed within the building envelope. Installation of all water supply and connection to mains by others.
Liaison with Building Surveyor as required including any pre-pour checks.

Exclusions/ Options

The following services can be provided by 'Built by Shed' however, are quoted on a site specific basis:

Site preparation including site scrape, clearing or vegetation & earthworks
Site service connections
Civil works & retention systems
Planning, Land Surveyor, Council & Authority fees and charges
