We understand a larger deposit is required to get the project started. A banks normal lending is 80 to 100 percent for a normal home loan. This will change when you are an owner builder so you will need to ask your bank/broker to find out what it will be. It has nothing to do with your choice to build a kit home; it is about you being an owner builder, their insurance and you being able to finish the home in a timely manner.
